Course Overview:

Abaqus is one of the world’s most advanced large-scale general-purpose finite element analysis software, with an impressively wide range of simulation capabilities.

Abaqus features two main solver modules—Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit. It also includes a comprehensive graphical user interface that fully supports the solvers, namely the interactive preprocessing and postprocessing module—Abaqus/CAE. For specific problems, Abaqus provides dedicated modules for solutions.

ABAQUS includes a rich library of elements that can simulate arbitrary geometric shapes. It also has a variety of material model libraries to simulate the properties of typical engineering materials, including metals, rubber, polymers, composites, reinforced concrete, compressible hyperelastic foam materials, and geological materials such as soil and rock. As a general simulation tool, ABAQUS can not only solve a large number of structural (stress/displacement) problems but also simulate many problems in other engineering fields, such as heat conduction, mass diffusion, thermoelectric coupling analysis, acoustic analysis, geomechanics analysis (fluid seepage/stress coupling analysis), and piezoelectric medium analysis.

Abaqus was previously widely used in aerospace, military, biology, automotive, and heavy machinery. In recent years, with the electronic industry’s focus on product competitiveness, Abaqus has become a tool for corporate CAE departments. Companies such as Huawei, ZTE, Emerson, Lenovo, and Flextronics are all users of Abaqus. These companies have created significant value in the product design stage through the application of analysis software.

Courses start upon successful registration. Weekend sessions are available (Morning: 9:00–12:00; Afternoon: 14:00–17:30).

  2. Creating parts

  3. Material and section properties, and assembly

  4. Steps, connections, loads, and constraints

  5. Meshing

  6. Job management and result simulation

  7. Defining ABAQUS models

  8. Element selection

  9. Introduction to nonlinear finite elements

  10. Contact definition in Abaqus/Standard

  11. Introduction to dynamic analysis

  12. Contact definition in Abaqus/Explicit

  13. Integration of Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit

Application Tutorial (1 day / 6 class hours in total)

  • Example 1: Nonlinear static analysis

  • Example 2: Experiential analysis of built-in cases

Instructor Profile:

Possesses 5–10 years of practical experience in finite element analysis projects and holds qualified instructor certification.

Training Fees:

  • 4,000 USD/person (Group discounts: 10% for 2 attendees, 15% for 3+; 10% for students/teachers with ID). Accommodation not included.
